The proverbial attraction of opposites finds its fulfillment in a harmonious togetherness, an idea which corresponds to the natural understanding of harmony. How does an interaction become a harmonious togetherness? An alternating give and take without "deception or ill-will". Balance!
To illustrate this idea I use three basic geometrical shapes: the triangle, the square and the circle. Also incorporated are the primary colors red, blue and yellow. Each form and each color are overlapped by another. Yet the composition’s three shapes remain recognizable – sharp, angular and round. Each individual element gains an edge and plays its role, but none lose their character and nothing gets lost. The individual components share their identity only as much as required to create the desired harmony of the whole.
